I passed around the following quotes on teams that offer varied perspectives on teams and teamwork. , and asked everyone to pick one and share thoughts.

I chose statement #2 from Katzenbach & Smith as it rings true for me for many of the teams to which I belong. Listening and constructively responding to points of view are important and often forgotten skills. Giving support and recognition often get overstepped. I enjoy being a member of the Upgrading Online Team because I see the honesty, because I am comfortable to express my point of view knowing that it will be listened to, and because every member has been able to share given the benefit of the doubt. I hope we never lose this.
